Speak Up Chicago!!

The Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County (SRACLC) collaborates with Chmela Fluency Center, Inc. and internationally recognized fluency specialist Kristin A. Chmela, M.A. CCC-SLP, and provides an overnight recreational camp for children ages 8-14 who stutter on August 11-15th, 2011.  5 days and 4 nights of fun are spent at Camp Duncan, Ingleside, Illinois, including a full range of activities such as swimming, wall-climbing, kayaking, horseback riding, and more.  A positive emphasis on overall effective communication skills accompanies spontaneous feedback provided to children throughout each day in naturalistic contexts.  Please contact Theresa at twalker@sraclc.org  for camper packets and more detailed information.

CAMP SHOUT OUT

See www.campshoutout.org  for information about an overnight stuttering therapy camp for kids and a training workshop for clinicians in Michigan!  This is for school-age children ages 7-16; it is also a hands-on opportunity for speech therapists and graduate students to receive hands-on training with two recognized fluency specialists, Kristin A. Chmela, M.A. CCC-SLP, BRS-FD and June H. Campbell, M.A. CCC-SLP, BRS-FD.
